Best of Queensland Experience Excellence Award 2022

ABC Snorkel Charters celebrated receiving the ‘Best of Queensland Experience Excellence Award’, in recognition of our passion at consistently delivering exceptional customer experience and bringing the Queensland story to life.

The award was presented to owners Jay and Astrid Wink at the 2022 TNQ Tourism Industry Excellence Awards, held at the Hilton Hotel on Friday 28 October 2022. These awards celebrate the excellence and innovation of the tourism industry, by acknowledging the people and businesses at the forefront of tourism in the region.

ABC Snorkel Charters Port Douglas was the region’s highest performer in the Best of Queensland Experiences program, a fact which is testament to the passion of the owners and consistent efforts of the dedicated small team, to ensure each guest has the best possible experience.

On receiving the award, Jay Wink praised his team and reflected on the vision and purpose behind ABC Snorkel Charters Port Douglas.

“ABC Snorkel Charters Port Douglas is a very small company, with an immense passion about what we do, every day. Passion about the Great Barrier Reef. Passion about giving our clients the best possible experience and passion that we take just 12 passengers to the outer reef every day, giving them a unique insight to this wonderful world.” – said Jay Wink

“At the end of the day, our immense passion and enthusiasm becomes infectious, which translates to the most amazing reviews that our clients write about their experience on the Great Barrier Reef, with ABC Snorkel Charters Port Douglas,” he said.

Cairns Regional Council Mayor Bob Manning added his congratulations to ABC Snorkel Charters, on the award and recognition.
“On behalf of Cairns Regional Council, I wish to congratulate ABC Snorkel Charters on receiving the Best of Queensland Experiences Excellence Award at the recent Tourism Excellence Awards,” Cr Manning said. “It’s been so encouraging to see the high volume of domestic visitors to the region over the last few months. Let’s hope 2023 brings an increase in international visitors and sees us back on track.
