The idyllic Low Isles, situated only 15 km off the coast of Port Douglas. Be on a postcard-perfect tropical island in just 25 minutes. Low Isles is ideal for a full or half day tour. Relax on the pristine white the sandy beach, snorkel with a marine biologist guiding you through the stunning coral gardens or explore the island taking in its rich history, visiting its museum and seeing its heritage-listed lighthouse, operational since 1878. A day at Low Isles has something for everyone.
The Cay is surrounded by a whopping 55 acres of reef with over 150 different species of hard corals and an array of 15 stunning soft coral species. A resident population of Green Sea turtles allows for some incredible close encounters. The local reef is teaming with a diverse range of reef fish species including; clown fish (Nemo), parrotfish, rabbit fish, giant trivially, sweetlips and fusiliers. Enormous Giant Clams and vividly coloured juvenile clams are found all over the shallow reef.
