ABC Charter and Day Boat

Our own boat ‘Independence 1’ is privately owned and operated by ABC Snorkel Charters Port Douglas. This commercially built vessel is 16m long and 5m wide and can travel up to 200 nautical miles offshore. ‘Independence 1’ has a comfortable cruising speed of 22 knots with a top speed in excess of 30 Knots.

Fully equipped with the latest snorkel equipment, ‘Independence 1’ has everything you need for a comfortable day on the water, including its own toilet, and is the best option for up to 15 passengers wanting to take a private trip together, although we are licensed to take 25 passengers & 4 crew.

Days, itineraries and experiences can be tailored specifically to your needs, whether it’s a half day trip, full day trip, snorkeling and sun bathing, island hopping and enjoying, or a little bit of everything, we’ll customise a package to suit you.

We deliberately avoid setting a firm daily schedule, ensuring wildlife acts naturally and doesn’t begin shying from busy spots so the surprise, “big ticket” sightings are frequent and the amazing biodiversity of our sites remains intact.
